I have very little interest in becoming a childbook illustrator. Because of the children in my family I do illustrate from time to time and I needed a character for that. Preferably without any gender and related to all sorts of activities.
In my opinion he is related to Totoro, a character which was designed by Hayo Miyazaki for his films. Totoro itself is a Japanese fairy tale he used.
